The role of the council is "to ensure that the life of the parish reflects the mission of Jesus" and "to enable all parishioners to share in that mission" through their ministries. It is the responsibility of the council to work with the pastor in matters pertaining to the spiritual, social, civic, financial and educational affairs of the parish. The current council is representative of the four major areas or clusters which embrace all of the parish ministries, programs and activities. These clusters are: Word, Worship, Community Building and Service. It is the goal of the Parish Council to promote communication and cooperation between the various ministries within each cluster.
Council members are selected by the pastor after a discernment process. They serve for limited term and may be renewed for a second term. Going forward we are planning to add new members who represent the various demographics of our parish, including recently registered parishioners and the younger members of our community.
